The idea behind THE HIVE started pretty simply. We wanted a place right here in McKinney where you could grab a drink, catch a game, meet up with friends, or make some new ones — without having to leave town for a good time.

We come from completely different worlds. Michelle comes from the affordable housing/design world, Michael & Jamie own multiple soccer teams, including our very own McKinney Chupacabras: and Natalie brings the downtown flair as the owner of Pumps on the Square, a long time McKinney boutique.

On paper, we probably make zero sense. But we’re good friends, we love McKinney, and we believe some of the best nights start with, “Let’s just grab one drink.”

So we decided to create McKinney’s living room.

Every hive has its colony, and ours is the people who walk through the door. Come as you are, pull up a chair, and settle in. You’ll probably run into someone you know, and if you don’t, chances are you will before the night is over.

No special occasion needed. Just good drinks, good people, plenty of laughs and a place that feels like your own.

We hope it becomes yours, too.
